We offer ongoing training programmes at every level to upskill the capability of our workforce. By learning new skills, everyone at TRAD Scaffolding Company has the chance to develop their own career and enhance their all-round capabilities.
We offer twenty-two staff training courses covering a wide range of competences. These include skills training, equipment and systems training, safety training and first aid as well as training to meet Network Rail and National Grid requirements. Courses range from a half-day to fourteen days depending upon complexity and are entirely funded by TRAD Scaffolding.
Our apprentice training programme provides real opportunities to begin a lifelong career of full time work in a rewarding job with excellent future prospects. This is a block-release course with some time spent away at one of CITB's training centres and supervised work on site. Their progress is regularly assessed by the CITB who report accordingly. After two years, the successful candidate becomes a competent scaffolder and receives a CISRS NVQ2 Scaffold Card (with the opportunity to later progress to achieve the CISRS NVQ3 Advanced Card). All courses are fully funded by TRAD Scaffolding.
On a sunny Friday 11th July 2014 at The Hilton Euston Hotel TRAD organised an afternoon get together for all Senior Scaffolders and Management. The purpose of this event was to introduce TG20:13 to the senior workforce and give these operatives the opportunity to discuss any issues they may have. With Simon Hughes, Managing Director of Simian Risk introducing TG20:13 and Neil Garner, Divisional Director for TRAD holding a question and answers session the afternoon certainly contained some lively debate! We received many excellent ideas from the floor and look forward to making this a regular event for the sharing of ideas and opinions in the future.
